  • Hyperteansion, prevention of heart attacks, mild congestive cardiac failure, Buerger’s disease, Cardiomyopathy, Cardiac hypertrophy

  • Oedema and dyspnoea of cardiac origin, Valvular insufficiency

  • Tachycardia – paroxysmal, Ecotopic beat,, Cardiac arrhythmias, palpatations, irregular pulse, Mild anxiety

  • Helps reduce cholesterol

  • Hypotension

  • Impaired peripheral cirulation

  • Menopausal symptoms – hot flushes

Contraindications/precautions

No contraindictions known

Caution with digoxin even though a negative reaction has not been confirmed. May act in synergy with digitalis, glycosides, beta-blocker and other hypotensive drugs. Drug dosage may need modification.
