Contraindications/precautions

Care is to be taken when driving a car or operating heavy machinery when high doses are used.

Valerian can occasionally cause sleepiness or headaches. Reduce dose if this occurs. Valerian is generally safe herb but an over dose may cause dizziness, spasms, hallucinations and excitability.
